Applications are invited from suitably qualified Registered Nurses to join Echuca Regional Health as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager in our Cancer and Wellness Centre. This is an exciting parental leave opportunity within a dynamic service that delivers a broad range of chemotherapy and related treatments. You will be part of a supportive, skilled, and collaborative team committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide advanced oncology nursing care, ensuring safe and evidence-based practice in chemotherapy and related treatments, while supporting a patient and family-centered model of care.
- Assist the NUM with day-to-day coordination of patient flow, staff allocation, rostering, and resource management to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives, identify and mitigate clinical risks, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and national guidelines.
- Actively participate in mandatory meetings as required and requested
- Maintain core clinical competence specific to the area of clinical practice
Qualifications/experience required:
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA, bringing experience in oncology or cancer care (day medical or in-centre), and a commitment to keeping your skills and knowledge up to date.
- A collaborative leader and team player who values safe, person-centred care and demonstrates behaviours that reflect ERH's values.
- Strong clinical knowledge, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy, dynamic environment.
