Migration administrative assistant/ Legal paralegal

We are a full service busy immigration agency based in the heart of Sydney specializing in employer sponsored visa services to both individuals and employers. We are currently looking for a migration administrative assistant or paralegal to work in our Sydney office.

Position description

o Assist a registered migration agent with client in answering written and phone queries regarding migration laws

o Collecting documents and organizing files

o Drafting and reviewing submissions and correspondence

o Preparing and checking Skills Assessment, Sponsorship, Nomination and Visa applications

o Conducting legal research using available sources when required

o Meeting clients to discuss assigned cases and projects

o Liaising with external organizations such as skill assessing authorities when required

o Other general administrative and support tasks as required

Experience and skills:

o A minimum 12 months experience working in a similar role

o Passion and keen interest in immigration law (preferably, studying a Migration law course)

o A high work ethic, are proactive, results and deadline driven

o Great communication and people skills

o High attention to detail and high accuracy

o Speaking a second language (Mongolian, Fillipino, Nepalese or Chinese)

Job type: Negotiable

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

  • Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sydney, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
