We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Trades Assistant to join our expanding Mt Isa team This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.

As a Facilities Trades Assistant, you will:

  • Inspections & Audits - Conduct regular inspections and audits within the business centre to maintain safety and compliance.
  • General Duties - Contribute to yard upkeep, cleaning, wash bay duties, and basic handyman tasks around the business centre.
  • Contractor Engagement - Work alongside site contractors, ensuring safety is not compromised at any stage.
  • Quality Assurance - Take all reasonable steps to ensure assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship, delivering a quality finished product.
  • Repair Standards - Ensure repairs are carried out using appropriate control guidelines to prevent rework.
  • Equipment Operation - Operate overhead gantry cranes and forklifts safely and effectively (where licensed).

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Relevant Experience - Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Communication Skills - Strong communication and a high level of customer focus.
  • Licences - Overhead Crane and Forklift licence is desirable.
  • Time Management - Great organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Teamwork - The ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Safety Focus - A strong commitment to maintaining workplace health and safety standards.
