Bulk Wagon Maintainer – Parkes Terminal 

Permanent | Full-Time | Day Shift | Training Provided

Every day we transport millions of tonnes of critical freight around the country for our customers.  

We're now looking for a hands-on, safety-focused Wagon Maintainer to join our Parkes team. This critical team plays a vital role in ensuring the on-time availability of Pacific National rolling stock, as well as supporting the introduction of new wagons and technologies. 

 What You'll Do 

  • Perform wagon maintenance, repairs and inspections 
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs  
  • Operate tools, mobile plant and lifting equipment 
  • Fabricate, weld and assemble components 
  • Coordinate with planners, contractors and operators 
  • Support new wagon rollouts and tech upgrades 

What You'll Bring 

  • Safety mindset – we bring safety into every moment, every interaction, every day 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude 
  • Team player with a "can-do" attitude 
  • C Class Driver's Licence (essential) 
  • Forklift/MR Licence (advantageous) 
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Heavy industry experience (e.g. boilermaker) is a plus – but not required. 

Full training provided – bring a positive attitude, we'll teach the rest.
