Carindale, Queensland, Australia Gateway Community Group Inc. Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

Key Accountabilities

  • This position reports directly to Gateway Housing Executive Officer
  • Attend and participate in Individual Supervision and Team Meetings
  • Actively work to achieve the goals of Gateway Housing strategic plan
  • Develop, strengthen and deliver family person-centered housing worker practice
  • Facilitate effective teamwork and support co- workers to achieve family, team, organisational and professional goals.
  • Use quality strategies to ensure that good practice principles are achieved, and service delivery is continuously improving
  • Follow direction of the Gateway Housing executive officer
  • Promote professional and positive relationships with external stakeholders
  • Work actively to develop a positive, collaborative and respectful culture within Gateway Housing.
  • Implement effective documentation on SharePoint and electronic tenant files on SHIP

  • Essential Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Community Services, Social Work, or related field

  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Current National Police Check

  • Essential Experience:

  • Minimum 12 months' experience in community services, social work, or housing support

  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals or families
  • Case management or client support experience preferred

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience with database systems and electronic record keeping
  • Ability to learn new software platforms including SHIP and SharePoint

  • Additional Requirements:

  • Current Australian driver's licence and access to reliable vehicle

  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)

  • Eligibility:

  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa

  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening checks
