POSITION DETAILS
- Full-Time, Permanent
- Classification: SCHADS Level5 with a salary range of $100,875 - $105,439 per annum + Superannuation
- Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Joondalup Mental Health Step-Up Step-Down Service (JMHSS) is a 22 bed Step-Up Step-Down facility that provides an option for people who are becoming unwell or are still recovering from an acute illness and need a short period of additional support and consolidation to complement their treatment and support. The JMHSS aims to prevent avoidable inpatient admissions.
During their stay consumers are assisted to develop a relapse prevention or wellness plan. The JMHSS is staffed 24 hours perday, 7 days per week.
YOUR NEW ROLE
The Team Leader (TL) works in close partnership with Service leaders to provide leadership, practice development and coaching sessions to service delivery staff. The TL ensures high standards of consumer support, file management, documentation, and record-keeping. TLs provides staff line management, monitor service delivery and contribute to program planning and reporting. This position works with the Service Manager and other leaders to establish and maintain strong working partnerships with partner organisations.
TLs will aid the delivery of the best possible comprehensive service to consumers by supporting and building capacity of the program workforce and providing direct support to consumers as required.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Formal tertiary qualification in a related field and/or equivalent experience working in a relevant setting.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and empower team members.
- Strong emotional resilience including the ability to sit with discomfort, distress and people in crisis.
- Ability to self-reflect, take on feedback to grow practice skills and engage in personal and professional development.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to establish professional relationships that have clear boundaries with consumers, staff and partner organisations.
- Strong computer literacy and written communication skills.
Desired
- Ability to read and interpret consumer data reports and translate learnings into practice.
- Previous experience in a relevant leadership position.
