Locker Room | Laundy Hotel Group**** Laundy Hotels are seeking an Assistant Venue Manager to join the team at The Locker Room in Sydney Olympic Park.
The Locker Room takes the traditional pub offering to an elevated experience with an amazing interior and stunning rooftop boasting a cocktail bar with a fireplace. The venue offers large functions spaces and showcases live sports with major stadiums located right on the doorstep. The venue is perfect for families, locals and visitors who are looking for a destination to spend time together and enjoy a fantastic food and beverage offering.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the General Manager, as the Assistant Venue Manager you will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily operations and ensuring a premium guest experience: from the excitement of game day crowds to relaxed afternoons on the terrace:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and supporting the team to deliver exceptional service and memorable guest experiences.
- Managing daily venue operations across the bar, bistro and functions areas.
- Coordinating and executing events and large-scale trade days with precision and professionalism.
- Overseeing rostering, maintenance and compliance requirements.
- Monitoring and improving operational processes to drive efficiency and profitability.
- Onboarding, training, and developing team members to achieve their full potential.
- Upholding venue presentation and service standards at all times.
- Ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across all departments.
- Enjoying a competitive salary paid weekly and a flexible roster with a mix of day, night and weekend shifts.

- Proven experience in venue or cellar management within a busy hospitality environment.
- Availability to work across nights, weekends and peak trade periods.
- The ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire your team while maintaining accountability.
- Exceptional presentation and professionalism, matched with an unwavering commitment to quality service.
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- A team-first mindset, with the drive to achieve both individual and venue goals.
