EMERGENCY RESILIENCE LEAD

  • Based in Bannockburn, great location and an easy drive from Geelong, Ballarat and Melbourne with free onsite parking

To continue to deliver for our community, we are seeking an Emergency Resilience Lead to help deliver Emergency Management and Recovery Plans and resilience building programs to impacted and high risk townships, schools, community groups within the shire.

This role will provide you the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to and facilitate the development of a range of community initiatives as agreed in the Golden Plains Shire Summer 2024 Fires Recovery/Resilience Plan that builds community resilience.
  • Support Golden Plains Shire Council's recovery following the Golden Plains Shire Summer 2024 Fires AGRN 1108 ensuring all related work is inclusive and reflects the diverse needs of community.
  • Work with the Golden Plains Shire community and consultants to support recovery activities, events and build resilience within the community following the Golden Plains Shire Summer 2024 Fires AGRN 1108.
  • Prepare project documentation, quarterly reports and financial acquittal reporting as required under the Council Support Fund Funding Agreement.
  • Undertake data analysis, monitoring and evaluation processes throughout the life of the project as agreed in the Golden Plains Shire Summer 2024 Recovery/Resilience Plan.
  • Collate financial information specifically relating to the Golden Plains Shire Summer 2024 fires Recovery/Resilience Plan and Council's response to AGRN 1108.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to analyse community needs in emergency preparedness, relief and recovery and experience in the development of community plans.
  • Implementation of community engagement, community resilience and capacity building and projects.
  • Ability to influence and work at all levels of an organisation through developing and maintaining relationships to partner effectively for the benefit of community.
  • Well-developed communication skills including persuasive oral and written skills.
  • Knowledge of community needs and existing community and stakeholder relationships within the municipality.
  • Experience in the delivery of externally funded projects.
