Our company specialises in the mixing and filling of Aerosol and Liquid products for use in personal care, therapeutic, industrial and household categories for the domestic and export market.
About the Position
We are currently seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Analyst to join the team on Night shift. Prior exposure in a manufacturing setting would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
§ Perform routine analysis on raw materials, concentrates, finished products using instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques using BP/USP methods.
§ Maintaining equipment reliability by performing suitability checks, calibration and preventative maintenance.
§ Managing individual workload to meet laboratory turnaround times
§ Have hands-on experience in a busy, fast paced environment
§ Willingness to adapt and manage workflow as part of a team and individually
§ Be passionate, resourceful and innovative.
§ High Attention to detail is extremely crucial.
§ Operate with diligence and exercise duty of care in the workplace at all times
§ Adhere to all company policies to ensure that the workplace is a safe and respectful place
Requirements
§ Tertiary qualification in Chemistry or related discipline
§ Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in routine pharmacopeia testing (USP, BP) on both raw material and finished products.
§ Experience in working with FTIR, UV Spectrometers, HPLC, GC, KF and knowledge of basic preventative maintenance on these instruments.
§ Able to work independently as well as being a team player.
§ Familiarity with software for controlling analytical instruments e.g. Chemstation for GC and LabSolutions for UHPLC.
§ Good time management skills, the ability to multi task.
§ Be available for Night shift Sunday- Thursday night 22.55pm- 07.15am.
