About the Role

We are seeking a Data Governance Lead
to drive the development and execution of data governance strategies across the organization. This role will ensure that data is managed, classified, and utilized in a secure, compliant, and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance frameworks, data engineering, and cloud-based data infrastructure, with a keen focus on quality, accessibility, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities


• Lead and support initiatives focused on implementing and enhancing data governance and classification frameworks.


• Develop, implement, and maintain data access and usage policies to ensure compliance and security.


• Collaborate with data stewards, compliance teams, and business units to define, document, and enforce enterprise data standards.


• Design and build scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows to support analytics, reporting, and operational needs.


• Deploy and manage secure, scalable data infrastructure across cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.


• Monitor and ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple systems and platforms.


• Support enterprise-wide data discovery, cataloging, and documentation initiatives.


• Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Strong understanding of data governance principles

access control mechanisms

• Proven experience implementing
data governance policies
and working with governance tools such as
Collibra

Alation
, or
Informatica
.


• Hands-on expertise in
ETL development

data engineering
, and
cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, or GCP).


• Proficiency in
SQL
,
Python
, or
Scala
.


• Experience with
Snowflake
and
Databricks
is highly preferred.


• Knowledge of
Informatica
and data classification tools such as
Immuta
is a plus.


• Familiarity with
data modeling
,
data warehousing
, and
big data technologies
.


• Prior experience in the
banking
or
financial services
industry is a strong advantage.
