Sous Chefs/Chefs/Cooks - Newcastle & Hunter Area
We are looking for a determined and passionate Sous Chef for Cams Wharf Tavern and multiple Chefs of various levels to join our team at the Iris Hotel Group. Iris Hotel Group is looking to fill multiple positions available within our Hotels in Newcastle and Hunter area.
The right person for the role will be a driven individual that enjoys the rush of a busy service and is adept at managing every area of the kitchen. You will be part of an experienced kitchen team and will lead by example in this varied role, executing a casual bistro menu.
This is an opportunity to join a culinary team who aspire for greatness in a casual environment. A team who work together to deliver exceptional quality across all facets of the bistro operation
Please only apply if you fulfill the following criteria:
• Previous chef/cook experience within a similar fast-paced environment
• The ability to run a smooth, organized service
• Team leadership skills
• Passionate about the end product
• Professional, polished appearance (for our open kitchen)
• A positive attitude
• Desire to succeed in your chosen career
• Preferred Certificate IV in Cookery + two years full-time experience OR four years of experience.
• Salary range $76,000 to $90,000, depending on position and experience.
