About the Role
We're seeking an experienced
Infrastructure Engineer
with strong expertise in
Red Hat OpenShift
and
VMware environments
. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting container platforms that underpin modern applications and services.

You'll be part of a team responsible for the end-to-end setup of OpenShift clusters in a VMware-based infrastructure — from planning and deployment through to optimisation, automation, and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and configure
    OpenShift clusters
    within a
    VMware
    environment.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates for repeatable deployments.
  • Implement automation and monitoring solutions to improve reliability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, security, and application teams to ensure integration with existing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and platform issues.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
  • Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience with
    Red Hat OpenShift
    (installation, configuration, cluster management, upgrades).
  • Strong background in
    VMware vSphere
    or related virtualisation technologies.
  • Familiarity with
    Linux (RHEL/CentOS)
    system administration.
  • Experience with
    infrastructure-as-code
    tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
  • Good understanding of
    networking
    ,
    storage
    , and
    security
    concepts in virtualised and containerised environments.
  • Exposure to
    CI/CD pipelines
    ,
    GitOps
    practices, and automation frameworks is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    Kubernetes
    outside of OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of
    Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS
    ,
    OpenShift Operators
    , or
    Service Mesh
    .
  • Familiarity with
    cloud platforms
    (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, VMware Certified Professional).
