The role:

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time
Hair & Makeup Artist / Studio Assistant
for our fashion studio based in the heart of Brisbane CBD. This is a blended role combining the Hair & Makeup duties required for photoshoots and the Studio Assistant responsibilities relating to photoshoots and studio matters.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to leverage your Hair & Makeup expertise daily for eCommerce shoots as well as on location for campaign shoots. When you aren't busy executing Hair & Makeup looks, you will be supporting the Studio with a variety of photoshoot activities.

What you'll be doing:

• Work alongside the Stylist to execute on trend makeup looks for studio shoots that meet the provided briefs.
• Manage incoming out outgoing inventory that goes through the studio workflow.
• Accompany our Content Production team on offsite campaign shoots to execute hair and makeup looks that meet the provided briefs.
• Actively adjust hair and makeup looks on all shoot to ensure the hair and makeup is always up to standard throughout a shoot.
• Understand and translate creative changes quickly and with minimal disruption to the shoot process.
• Look to source products that will elevate imagery and looks.
• Maintain makeup kit and ensure that supplies are ordered as required.
• Support with various administration duties.
• Ordering samples for eCommerce shoots as well as source images from our partners and suppliers.
• Manage eComm library in collaboration with Buyers.
• Support with all product prep for shoots.

What will you need?

• You have a full understanding of hair and makeup standards and ideally have worked in a studio environment or have campaign experience.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of professional hair and makeup experience is required.
• You have your finger on the pulse with hair and makeup trends including celebrity style and influencers.
• Technical understanding of lighting, photography, and aesthetics.
• You can work quickly and efficiently, delivering quality work in a time sensitive environment.
• You have a proactive and motivated approach with the ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively.
• You have outstanding organizational and time management skills.
