About the Role

We are looking for an expression of interest Project Manager to lead the delivery of our key infrastructure and construction projects in Sydney. This role is for a professional who thrives on the complexities of large-scale, multi-stage projects and is ready to take ownership of delivery from day one. You will be a key figure in managing projects from their initial development and financial structuring through to construction and operational phases. You should be equally comfortable discussing strategy with executives and diving into the details with delivery teams.

At JJPH, you won't be stuck managing the same type of work over and over again, you'll get the chance to deliver projects across different industries, where no two challenges are the same. Every project brings something new to the table, keeping the role engaging and dynamic.

You'll also have the backing of our internal PMO and Assurance team, who provide the tools, frameworks, and support you need to succeed while still giving you the autonomy to drive outcomes.

Role & Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Lifecycle Management

: Manage all project phases, from financial close and early works through to construction, commissioning, and long-term asset management. Ensure all project objectives are achieved on schedule and within budget, with a focus on delivering long-term value.
- PPP Expertise & Financial Acumen

: Apply a deep understanding of the Public-Private Partnership model, including complex contractual agreements, risk management, and financial oversight. You will be responsible for managing budgets, financial models, and cost control across multi-year project lifecycles.
- Strategic Stakeholder Management

: Act as a central point of contact, building and maintaining strong relationships with government partners, consortium members, lenders, and key sub-contractors. You will represent Capella Capital and a consortium's interests while managing expectations and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Delivery Oversight & Problem Solving

: Provide senior oversight for the delivery of technically complex projects. Anticipate risks, implement mitigation strategies, and resolve commercial and technical challenges to keep projects on track.
- Compliance & Governance

: Ensure projects adhere to all regulatory requirements, contract terms, and best-practice governance standards for large infrastructure developments.

Key Competencies

• Proven experience in managing medium to large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with managing complex project budgets, financial models, and contract administration.
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate relationships between government agencies, financiers, and construction partners.
• Ability to think strategically while also managing detailed project delivery.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management.

Minium Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-stage infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of project finance, contract law, and procurement in a large-scale project context.
• Familiarity with HSEQ standards and compliance.
• Experience with project management methodologies is highly regarded.
