Randstad is currently recruiting for casual labourers to assist in the eradication of Fruit Fly in the Riverland.

The role is based in Barmera, SA

Monday-Friday: 8am - 4pm

$35.30 per hour

Applicants will be required to obtain a National Police Clearance.

The role of a fruit fly controller may include:

  • Baiting, hygiene fruit checks, fruit gathering and disposal, setting up traps
  • Conversing with local landowners in a respectful manner
  • Working in a team
  • Updating and following directions from notes in an iPad
  • Working in all weather terrain and in outdoor environment in full PPE
  • Listening to and following daily instructions
  • Drivers may be required to drive long distances to fruit fly outbreak areas throughout the Riverland.

What we are looking for:

- Full drivers licence

- Willing to drive a utility / 4WD and pull a trailer

- National Police Clearance

- Work availability for at least 6 months

- Good communication skills

- Physically fit

Applicants with strong local knowledge of the Riverland and surrounding regions will be highly considered.
