We have an opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Unsecured Risk to join us, reporting into the Head of Unsecured Risk, within Risk and Compliance. The role will monitor and analyse the Bank's IWPB portfolios using sophisticated analytical models, with the purpose of formulating and implementing business cases to balance risk and reward across the credit life cycle. It will work closely with each of the product groups, providing risk/profitability related analytics to support the management of the unsecured IWPB Portfolios, and also support all unsecured provisioning modelling meeting IFRS9 requirements as well as Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS).

This is a 2-year fixed term contract.


Responsibilities:

  • Support straight through processing opportunities and streamlining the verification rules via proactive strategy enhancements, developing and implementing a range of champion/challenger (test & learn) strategies for credit cards.
  • Proactively identify problem areas and opportunities within the portfolios with processes and policy analysis to enhance the profitability of the portfolios.
  • Manage and monitor the performance of automated credit scoring models ensuring they support the risk/reward trade off with the emphasis on maximising customer profitability.
  • Review and streamlining of all IWPB Risk Management Information for the IWPB unsecured products, ensuring all critical deadlines are met.  
  • Support the Portfolio Risk Analysts to develop their technical skills by sharing best practice techniques.
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing enhancement of all HBAU decisioning systems and strategies.
  • Work closely with ASP IWPB Risk in Region (HK) to ensure that regional guidelines and procedures are followed and that best practise techniques are introduced where appropriate.



Requirements:

  • Significant Credit Risk experience in retail credit products.
  • Degree qualified with Statistics / Mathematics or Computing based degree.
  • Proficient in SAS programming, Excel, SQL.
  • Understanding of statistical based decisioning systems.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
