Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Labourer is primarily responsible for assisting our Trades Team with the completion of general or reactive maintenance across contract's facilities and dwellings.
Duties include supporting:
- Completion of any general maintenance and installation of cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings
- Installation, repair and general maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings and drainage systems
- Installation, repair and general maintenance of lighting fixtures, switches and switchboards, including general roughing in/out
- Use hand tools, machines, or power saws as required
- Follow safety data sheets for cleaning chemicals
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment
About You
To join our team, you will be an experienced Tradesperson who has experience in a domestic or commercial environment, has excellent attention to detail and a strength for delivering a high quality service without compromise. The incumbent is a key person within the Team, promoting staff morale while displaying a "can do" and "Team Player" attitude. Additionally, you will provide first-class customer service whilst maintaining a commitment to the safety of yourself and others at all times.
Additionally, you will possess:
- Experiencer working on major commercial or industrial works (desirable), including exposure to Carpentry, Electrical and Plumbing related work tasks
- Construction White Card (mandatory)
- HRWL (LF) License (desirable)
- VALID C Class (mandatory)
- Australian Working Rights
- Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
- First Aid training and Trade based competencies (desirable)
Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:
- Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Workorder Management Software (Loc8) and Safety, Payroll & Training requirements,
- Ability to work in a Team; be a self-motivator and take instructions.
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills.
- Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others, at all times.
