About the Role

Our Company is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Structural Steel Workshop Manager/Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have an proven, extensive and experienced background in structural steel, plate and pipe fabrication, and will be responsible for leading and overseeing our fabrication team, reporting to the company's Operations Manager.

A minimum of 1-2 years of workshop management or supervisory experience is required for this position.

About You

  • Trade Qualified Boilermaker/Welder
  • Extensive Experience in Structural Steel, Plate and Pipe Fabrication
  • Structural Steel Fabrication Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of structural steel fabrication experience is essential.
  • Proficient in Planning and Organizing: Strong ability to work within timelines and schedules.
  • Self-Motivated and Resilient: Capable of working under pressure.
  • Excellent Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Fabrication Workshop Team: Provide leadership and technical direction to ensure efficient operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect structural steel for compliance with drawings and specifications at various stages of fabrication and welding. This involves giving guidance and technical direction to the overall company processes in fabrication.
  • Maintain Communication: Ensure clear and effective communication within the workshop, providing guidance and technical expertise.
  • Meet Quality Standards: Uphold the highest quality standards in all aspects of welding and fabrication.
  • Ensure Safety Compliance: Adhere to and enforce Zero Harm Targets to maintain a safe working environment.
