Court Services Victoria (CSV) provides corporate and facility services to support the operations of Victoria's courts and tribunals, including the Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Together, these entities form the `Courts Group', which includes the Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners Courts, VCAT, and CSV itself.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of Victoria's court system and handles over 300,000 cases annually across 51 locations-around 90% of all court matters in the state. MCV aims to be innovative, accessible, and responsive in delivering justice to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Family Violence Remote Hearing Practitioner supports victim-survivors to safely participate in court hearings through the Remote Hearing Support Service (RHSS). Based in Melbourne CBD, the role involves travel to remote hearing locations across Victoria and provides trauma-informed, non-legal support before, during, and after court proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
; Provide risk assessments, safety planning, and referrals to community support services.
; Support clients in-person or remotely via Webex across various stages of the court process (pre, during or post court).
; Liaise with legal services, police, and court staff to facilitate safe hearing participation.
; Work within the MCV Service Centre, providing centralised public enquiries and eRegistry support across multiple jurisdictions.
Must be available to working remotely and at court and non-court-based locations across Latrobe and Bairnsdale.

About you
; Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, social sciences, or a related field is desirable
; Understanding of Family Violence Protection Act 2008/MARAM Framework/Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS)/Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS)/Victoria Police Code of Practice for Family Violence
; Experience in community engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
; Knowledge of court processes and intervention order applications is desirable
