Our client is a proudly family-owned foodservice distributor based in Victoria, with a heritage spanning over 30 years. Built on relationships, integrity, and hands-on experience, the business services well over 1,000 active clients, including high end restaurants, cafés, and bars—delivering 300–400 orders daily across the state. With a strong culture of loyalty and long-standing staff tenure, the team are known for their relationship-driven sales approach and our client maintain a trusted reputation in the industry and continue to grow as a premium foodservice partner across Victoria.
About the Role
As the State Business Development Manager for HORECA, you'll focus on driving new business across Victoria's hospitality sector, working with premium venues including restaurants, clubs, reception centres and sports clubs. Success in this role will come from building long-term, trusted relationships where you'll leverage your existing network, working closely with chefs and operators to introduce a premium product range. You will also be the face of the business at industry events, contribute to product range discussions, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service for new accounts. Your day-to-day will include prospecting new venues, maintaining a strong presence in the field, attending tastings and meetings, and managing the full sales cycle from introduction to ongoing account management.
Skills & Expertise
Success in this role will come from demonstrated business development experience within the HORECA channel. You'll bring a proven ability to generate new business through trusted relationships with your passion for premium food really shining through. You will thrive in an autonomous role, enjoy working at a strategic and grassroots level, and align with a company culture that values loyalty, humility, and hands-on expertise.
