The Venue

Since opening its doors in November 2019, Lagoon Dining has established itself as one of Melbourne's most revered eateries. The brainchild of long-term collaborators Chris Lerch and Keat Lee, the restaurant offers contemporary East Asian-inspired fare, a gutsy yet approachable wine list and seasonal cocktails amongst a sea of typically European venues in Carlton. The duo's persistence has been rewarded with multiple accolades. In 2022 Lagoon was crowned winner of the delicious.100 People's Choice Awards, has been wearing a Good Food hat with pride since 2023 and was included in Gourmet Traveller's Top 25 Victorian restaurants in 2023 and 2024 and the Top 100 Annual Restaurant Guide in Lagoon Dining is a place for friends, flavour and fun.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Lagoon Dining as an Assistant Restaurant Manager. We are looking for someone driven and motivated, who has a passion for creating memorable guest experiences that are second to none.

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be supporting all the duties of the Restaurant Manager as well as motivating and driving the venue to success.

Working side by side with our team you will:

  • Have a strong focus on delivering high standards and exceptional service standards.
  • Highly adaptable and able to perform in busy service periods.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Hands-on and operational.
  • Previous wine and beverage experience within a similar high-end restaurant environment
  • Develop the skills of the staff around product knowledge, service skills, team culture and guest relationships.
  • Managing day-to-day operations with sophistication and passion.
