Registered Nurse — Rural & Remote Contracts (SA)

Blackfyre Global | Contract / Temporary | Regional South Australia (multiple sites)

About the role

Blackfyre Global is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for rural & remote short-term contracts (typically 4–12 weeks, with potential extension) across regional South Australia. You'll provide general nursing across Emergency, Acute and Aged Care settings within small hospitals and multipurpose services, working rostered AM/PM/ND shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Comprehensive assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care
  • Medication administration and documentation within scope and policy
  • Support ED presentations, acute inpatients and aged-care residents as rostered
  • Escalate appropriately and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation (e.g., Sunrise EMR or similar) and safe handover

Indicative pay range: $55–$75 per hour Ex Super (depending on classification, experience and site), aligned to the relevant industrial instrument and confirmed at offer stage.

Requirements

  • Current AHPRA registration (RN)
  • 12+ months recent experience in ED, Acute and/or Aged Care
  • Safe, autonomous practice in small or remote facilities
  • Current core competencies (e.g., CPR/BLS, Hand Hygiene, Manual Handling); ALS preferred/recent
  • Compliance with SA Health Category A immunisation (incl. TB baseline; Polio if requested)
  • Current National Police Check; DHS/WWCC and NDIS (as required by site)
  • Australian work rights and two recent professional referees

Location

Contracts are available across SA regional Local Health Networks (e.g., Barossa Hills Fleurieu, Yorke & Northern, Riverland Mallee Coorong). Specific sites are discussed during screening.
