People & Culture Officer (Part-Time)

CatholicCare Tasmania is the primary social services agency of the Catholic Church across Tasmania. We have 60 years' experience delivering a wide range of services and support to improve individual, family and community wellbeing. Our services are available and open to all with a particular focus on families, young people and children.

Are you passionate about creating exceptional workplace experiences and supporting people to thrive? CatholicCare Tasmania is seeking a People and Culture Officer to deliver high-quality services that keep our organisation running smoothly and our people supported.

In this dynamic role, you'll be the first point of contact for our workforce, providing expert guidance on recruitment, onboarding, compliance, learning and development administration, workforce compliance, general policy and procedure enquires, and HR systems. You'll play a key part in ensuring our processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with our values of respect, compassion, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end employee lifecycle processes.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding
  • Respond to enquiries with professionalism and care.
  • Maintain systems and compliance records.
  • Support learning and development initiatives.
  • Assist with injury management and workforce reporting.
  • Contribute to projects that improve our People and Culture services.

What you will bring

  • Experience in HR or People and Culture administration.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and CatholicCare's mission and values.

Currently, this is a part time at 22.8 hours per week and contract role until June 30, 2026.
