Duties and responsibilities:
  • Perform regular inspections of outdoor work areas and equipment zones to ensure they remain clean, safe, and free of debris or tree waste.
  • Assist with basic maintenance of irrigation and water systems used in tree care, including replacing worn fittings or hose connections to prevent leaks.
  • Maintain and restore the condition of worksite structures and wooden equipment (e.g., storage sheds, benches, fencing) through sanding, sealing, and repainting.
  • Support vegetation management by trimming grass, clearing underbrush, and maintaining the visual appeal and safety of landscaped or work-preparation areas.
  • Repair and maintain gates, latches, and shed doors to ensure secure and reliable access to tools and machinery.
  • Replace or maintain external lighting and worksite illumination to ensure visibility and safety during early morning or late-day operations.
  • Perform minor repairs on site facilities and fixtures, including reinforcing storage racks, stabilising benches, and addressing general wear and tear.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Conduct tree assessments to identify structural defects, health issues, or safety risks, and provide recommendations for pruning, removal, or treatment.
  • Provide practical arboricultural advice to clients, supporting the health, safety, and long-term sustainability of local tree populations.
  • Safely operate elevated work platforms and employ climbing techniques to access trees for pruning, inspection, or removal in accordance with industry safety standards.
  • Perform precision pruning to improve tree structure, appearance, and clearance, following the Australian Standard AS Pruning of Amenity Trees.
  • Remove hazardous or declining trees, including stump and root removal, while preserving surrounding vegetation and site integrity.
  • Clear vegetation encroaching on powerlines, roads, and other infrastructure to maintain compliance with safety regulations and minimise risk to public safety.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Planting and propagating trees, shrubs, hedges, bulbs and flowers;
  • Pruning trees and hedges;
  • Maintenance of green areas and lawns with weeding, pruning, fertilisation and watering;
  • Sprays trees and shrubs, and applies supplemental liquid and dry nutrients to lawn and trees;
  • Plans and executes small scale landscaping operations
  • Participates with labourer and landscape in preparing and grading terrain, applying fertilizers, seeding and sodding lawns, and transplanting shrubs and plants, using manual and power-operated equipment;
  • Checking the condition of trees and plants and spraying or dusting with insecticides when necessary for the control of insects and diseases;
  • Replacement of diseased trees;
  • Plants new and repairs established lawns, using seed mixtures and fertilizers recommended for particular soil type and lawn location; Installation of irrigation networks and sprinklers;
  • Positioning of external architectural structures.
