Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, Resort Shop and Day Spa.

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Landscaper to join our team.  This is a Casual position reporting directly to the Chief Engineer and Landscaping Team Leader. Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is set across 26 acres of beautifully presented grounds. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with an eye for detail to ensure the already high standard of presentation is maintained.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Actively working alongside the team to carry out a variety of garden maintenance tasks
  • Assisting with the design and installation of new gardens and landscaped areas
  • Ensuring that all routine garden maintenance (mowing, pruning, weeding, rubbish removal etc.) is carried out on a daily basis and in a timely manner, with limited guest impact
  • Implement, prioritize and maintain maintenance tasks lists
  • Carry out any additional duties as assigned

The required skills and experience for this role include:

  • Diploma in Horticulture (minimum level required)
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • A strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and practices
  • A current manual driver's license
  • The ability to multitask and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Flexibility to work some weekends as required
  • Previous experience in a Resort or Hotel environment will be considered an advantage
