Ready to step into a true finance leadership role where your analysis drives operational decisions, board outcomes and long-term value?

We are seeking an experienced Principal Commercial Analyst to lead management reporting and business analysis across multiple mining operations. This is a high-impact role partnering directly with mine management, executives and the board - translating complex data into insight that matters.

Based in Perth, you will travel to site at least once a month to stay connected to operations and ensure reporting, forecasting and financial performance are grounded in reality.

About the role

  • Own and elevate management reporting and business analysis across operational, departmental and corporate levels
  • Lead month-end, budgeting and forecasting for multiple mining operations
  • Build and maintain robust financial models, dashboards and reporting templates
  • Partner closely with mine site leadership to deliver timely, accurate and actionable insights
  • Present financial results, variances, trends and risks to Executives and the Board
  • Drive process improvement, cost-saving initiatives and system consolidation
  • Provide leadership, guidance and development to Management Accountants
  • Support investment analysis, M&A, due diligence and project financing
  • Play a key role in audits, strategic planning and governance frameworks

About You

  • CPA / CA / ICA qualified with a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Finance
  • 8+ years' experience in finance, including 4+ years in mining/resources
  • Operating mine experience is essential
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
  • Experience with ERP systems (Pronto highly regarded) and BI tools
  • Strong commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge, influence and improve
  • Practical, hands-on problem solver who thrives under pressure
  • Current WA Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to site monthly
