General Labourer

Physcally fit, keen and reliable forklift operators and labourers required for immediate starts. Previous experience in container unloading will be highly regarded Work is based in Hemmant and Murrarie.

Australian Container Unloading Group ) is a National Industry Leader in shipping container loading and unloading operations. If you are someone who is looking to get into warehousing and logistics and you're physically fit and available Monday to Friday day shift then we are looking for you. Work is consistent and on-going based on Brisbane's East Side.

Working in ACUG Container Crews your duties will include:

· Manually unload product from shipping containers onto pallets

· Repetitive lifting of loads (up to 25kg)

· Use of shrink wrap to manually wrap palletised goods

· Working productively to strict timeframes

· Obeying strict safety rules in warehouse environments

Forklift operators will be required to also:

· Safely operate forklifts to unload palletised goods using container ramps

· Use forklifts to attach container ramp to shipping containers

· Remove palletised goods from shipping containers using forklift

Successful candidates will possess the following:

· Current Drivers licence and own reliable transportation (preferable)

· Previous experience in shipping container unloading / labouring (preferable)

· Current High Risk forklift licence (for forklift operators)

· Good literacy and numeracy skills

· Strong work ethic and can do attitude

· Great level of reliability and commitment to work

· Sense of urgency and piece work mentality

Work is paid with a minimum salary rate of $29.14 with the opportunity to make more based on productivity
