About the Job
You will coordinate and manage dive operations for SA Water regional potable water infrastructure, ensuring all underwater activities are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role involves leading dive programs, managing contractor performance, and collaborating with key stakeholders to support the maintenance and asset management of water storage facilities.
About You
You bring strong technical knowledge of diving operations and water infrastructure, with proven experience in managing contracts and compliance. You are a safety-focused leader who communicates effectively and builds positive working relationships across diverse teams. Your problem-solving skills and proactive approach help drive continuous improvement and deliver high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.
About Operations and Maintenance
The Operations & Maintenance team oversees the management of our water, wastewater and River Murray activities and conducts operational control activities for a secure water supply. The team is responsible for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, integrating corrective, preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance strategies. They aim to meet availability, performance, cost, and risk targets by leveraging technical asset maintenance and reliability expertise. Operations & Maintenance strives to deliver smart and reliable services to customers while enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Your responsibilities in this Role
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
You will:
- Coordinate and oversee dive activities to ensure safe and timely delivery.
- Ensure all dive operations comply with regulatory standards and SA Water procedures.
- Lead the planning and execution of dive programs for water storage asset maintenance.
- Manage contractor performance, contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive operational success.
- Promote and maintain high standards of safety, wellbeing, and service excellence.
Your success in this role will come from:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Commercial Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Building effective relationships and collaborating across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proactively managing contracts and ensuring high-quality delivery from contractors.
- Applying problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
