About the Role

Primary responsibilities include:


• Lecturing in agreed subject areas and managing teaching and assessment of units being delivered.


• Providing administrative support to the Head of School, Course Coordinator, and other academic staff.


• Participating in the administration, assessment, marking and examination of students.

EDM506 – Leading Data-Based Change Management

EDM502 – Leading Professional Learning Communities

EDSF507 – Professional Action Research Project A

EDSF509 – Professional Action Research Project B

EDM501 – The Philosophy of Christian Education

EDM507 – Effective Leadership and Management

INT501 – Christian Leadership

EDM508 – Creativity and Innovation for Leadership

Selection Criteria

Qualifications and Professional Standing:


• Hold a Masters or postgraduate qualification in a relevant Education discipline.


• Lecturing and teaching experience (3+ years experience would be an advantage).


• Current teacher registration (NSW or equivalent).

Essential:


• Committed Christian, involved in a local congregation.


• Ongoing or recent teaching experience in Early Childhood, Primary, or Secondary Education and an understanding of current and emerging trends in Early Childhood Education.


• Experience in tertiary-level teaching, supervision, or leadership in education.


• Experience in online or blended teaching environments


• Ability to communicate effectively with students; ability to communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with colleagues.


• Technological literacy and experience in developing online communication tools and previous experience in online education is desirable.


• Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diversity and ability to work with students, staff, and administrators, including pastoral skills in mentoring staff and supporting students.


• Flexibility to teach on Saturdays (highly desirable) and/or weekdays and evenings.

This casual position is based in Pennant Hills.
