Reporting to the Outbye Superintendent and the Health, Safety & Training Manager, this opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified Emergency Response Coordinator to work at Oaky Creek North Mine.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing, and coordinating sustainable systems to manage the emergency response capability and associated activities effectively.
• Conducting audits and carrying out rectification work of existing and new installations to ensure compliance.
• Ongoing maintenance regime for all emergency response equipment,
• Scheduling and coordinating emergency response training and exercises.
• Building and developing stakeholder relationships to ensure integration of appropriate emergency services standards.
• Ensure adequate numbers of competent Mines Rescue Team Members are available to the mine site.

As the successful Emergency Response Coordinator, you will have:

• A Certificate IV in Underground Coal Mining (3rd Class Deputies Ticket) (desirable)
• A comprehensive understanding of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 & Regulation 2017 and applicable Australian Standards (essential)
• Demonstrated commitment to a high performing safety culture.
• Proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment.
• Ability to hold the position of appointed Fire Officer on site
• Attention to detail in reporting and good written/verbal communication skills.
