About the team

The Chief Procurement Office provides expert advice, strategic direction and procurement solutions to deliver the Council Plan and drive impactful service outcomes. With a focus on providing strategic sourcing services, we're leading the charge in delivering critical infrastructure, services and goods to our community.

About your new role

As a Sourcing Officer, you'll support procurement activities across strategic sourcing, category management, and advisory services. You'll lead lower-value tenders and assist with higher-risk procurement processes, ensuring accurate data and high-quality documentation. You'll also work with a variety of digital tools to manage contracts, streamline processes, and support informed decision-making.

We have multiple positions available in our Procurement Team (Strategic Sourcing). This is your chance to join a diverse and fast-paced environment, working on high-impact projects across various procurement categories, including:

• Goods and Services

• ICT

• Maintenance and Operations

• Capital Works

In accordance with our current Certified Agreement, all positions will enjoy an automatic pay increase of 4% (or the Brisbane CPI* up to a maximum of 6.5%, whichever is the greater) in October 2025.

We're looking for outcome-focused individuals who have:

• Previous procurement experience and strong understanding of procurement's business role

• Sound sourcing experience

• Team player with a collaborative, positive, and solution-focused attitude

• Willingness to learn and support others

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to multitask, plan, and stay organised under pressure

• Strong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail
