The Role

In your role, you will use your knowledge and skills to understand, believe and support IDE in carrying out it's "Why".

We are seeking a Production Operator for casual part-time work (3 days /24 hours per week)

for 6 months with potential to extend. Commencing in early August. The Production Operator will perform all production-related activities, as directed by the Production Managers, making sure all assembly is per SOP's, agreed timelines and whilst adhering to all IDE and governing agencies' quality requirements.

Production Operator key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


• Assembling and packing products using hand tools or power tools, while accurately completing production documentation in line with
• Conducting quality inspections, including visual inspection and functional testing using computer-based equipment, to ensure products meet defined specifications and Work Instructions (WIs).
• WIs. Comply with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations as detailed in the IDE WHS policy and associated area SOPs.
• Reporting non-conforming products and other quality concerns to the Production Manager.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to comply with GMP standards.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement process improvements
• Support Product Development Teams with assembly of Prototypes
• Effectively communicate requirements/concerns with the manager.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Able to follow SOPs and WIs to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise manual assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook), including basic report writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member or independently as required.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Flexibility and availability to work with a minimum of 7 days' notice, depending on production demands
• Familiarity with GMP practices (or a willingness to learn)
• Previous manufacturing experience (especially medical devices) would be an advantage but is not necessary.
