About the Role:Some of your duties will include:
  • Under the direction of the Team Leader – Stores and Finance, providing a range of Stores & Finance services including warehouse, forklift operations, finance support, purchasing, procurement, stock/inventory control, general prison/prisoner services administration and various other related duties in compliance with the Financial Management Act 1994, ministerial directions, instructions, guidelines and operating procedures
  • Serving prisoners within prisoner shops/canteens whilst being responsible for direct supervision of prisoner workers, ordering and receipting of stock, maintenance of minimum stock levels and shop lists, security of shop stock, stocktaking and stock-control, record-keeping and shop cleanliness.
  • Working productively and respectfully as part of a dedicated and supportive team within a rotational roster framework featuring task responsibilities in accordance with this position description.
About You:
  • Well-developed computer literacy
  • Sound knowledge of and application of legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations
  • Experience with Oracle or similar finance related system
  • An understanding of shop, store and warehousing operations including associated stock management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Advanced computer skills including effective use of various systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, appointment scheduling and internet is desirable.
