Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automation and robotics projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
- Liaise with clients to define requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations.
- Oversee procurement, logistics, and subcontractor engagement.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards.
- Prepare project documentation including scopes, reports, and handover packs.
- Support commissioning and site acceptance testing as required.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
- Full Australian working rights.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related) or similar qualification/experience.
- 3–7 years of experience in project engineering or project management roles.
- Proven ability to manage technical projects from concept to completion.
- Experience with document control systems (e.g. Fortescue PIMS, Aconex etc.)
- Experience with EPCM Projects
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to travel to remote client sites as needed - both locally and internationally.
Desirable:
- Experience in automation, robotics, or industrial systems integration.
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, or control systems.
- Exposure to mining or heavy industry environments.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification (or working towards).
- Basic understanding of ERP systems and document control platforms.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary + performance incentives
- Career development and training opportunities
- Exposure to cutting-edge automation technologies
- Supportive and innovative team culture
- Opportunities to travel across Australia and internationally
