Who we are looking for

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for Project Engineers to join our Delivery Phase Services (DPS) Region in Perth. As we transition from traditional energy sources to more renewable alternatives, our pipeline of work is anticipated to grow once new projects are awarded. We are currently gathering interest from candidates who are keen to play a key role in enabling and accelerating this change. We will support you every step of the way as you join us in finding sustainable energy solutions that make a positive impact for generations.

Reporting to the Project / Study Manager and interfacing with the broader Delivery Phase Services team, you will work with our clients on several key projects focused on Renewable Energy, Asset Transition, and Non-Process Infrastructure once these projects are awarded. These are significant, multidisciplinary projects. As a Project Engineer in the DPS team, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful tendering and delivery of engineering projects by providing technical oversight, managing project scope, cost, and schedule, and coordinating cross-functional teams once we secure these upcoming projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support to the Project/Study/Area Manager and Engineering Manager with project management across HSE, scope, cost, schedule and risk management
• Assist with planning, preparation and coordination of proposal documentation and responses
• Assist with planning, preparation and coordination of project reports and deliverables
• Coordinate and compile technical reports to clients, following client and GHD guidelines
• Contribute to technical decisions and solutions by addressing queries and responding to information requests
• Perform site inspections and prepare site surveillance reports, if required
• Oversee design, documentation and construction support activities across all phases
• Assess project risks and understand associated contingencies
• Coordinate and facilitate communication between discipline engineers to ensure timely completion of designs
• Be a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and proactive management of project scope and resources

What you will bring to the team

• Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in a multidisciplinary project delivery environment
• 3 to 20 years' relevant experience with knowledge in a project management or consulting environment
• Ideally with a mining, resources, and/or renewable background
• Well-developed communication skills both verbal and written
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Commitment to safety in all aspects of work
