We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant for a 12 month's maternity leave contract cover. Reporting to our Accounting Manager, you will work in a friendly, vibrant atmosphere for a company that truly values their employees and recognises motivated and professional individuals.

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 3-5 years proven previous Accounts Payable experience. You must possess high attention to detail and an ability to take ownership of your role. In return, you will work in a global company and an outstanding, passionate and hard-working finance team who encourage training and development.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable – full function
  • Setup and maintenance of Vendor master data including new account review and credit checks
  • Process vendor invoices ~200 invoices per month
  • Process employee expense claims
  • Prepare and process payments to suppliers / vendors on a fortnightly basis– local and international payments
  • Manage transactions in multiple currencies
  • Reconcile and process two corporate credit card transactions
  • Monthly vendor statement reconciliations
  • Preparation & post various journals including month end journals
  • Daily bank clearing and reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Vouch invoices to goods receipts
  • Run AP aging reports & ensure all aged items cleared
  • Be an integral part of AP process improvement projects
  • Other adhoc & office administration tasks as required

To be successful in the role, you must possess:

  • 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role

  • Strong Excel skills

  • SAP experience preferred but not essential
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive mindse
