About the opportunity

The Discipline of Marketing are inviting applications for an Associate Lecturer or Lecturer in Marketing .

Education-focused roles are a specialised category of academic engagement reserved for talented educators with a passion for, and demonstrated excellence in, pedagogical practice and design. In this role you will be expected to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning practice, design and evaluation within the program and will be on a trajectory towards leadership in educational design and delivery. The majority of your contribution will be within education (70%), with a proportion of workload (20%) available for research.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • teaching in the discipline of marketing, including course coordination and supervision of Honours students
  • contributing to the research strengths of the discipline, including collaborating on research grants and publishing in high quality academic journals
  • fostering interdisciplinary collaborations within the University and with external stakeholders
  • participation in academic administration and service activities.

About you

  • a PhD in marketing or relevant field (or near completion for Level A)
  • demonstrated experience in, or strong potential to deliver high quality teaching and course development in one or more of the discipline's core domains
  • demonstrated potential to publish in high quality academic journals
  • the ability to work successfully in a team and a commitment to a collegial approach
  • a commitment to engage with industry, community, and professional bodies.
