Electrical Engineer

Harry Maxwell has been engaged in an executive search for an experienced Electrical Engineer passionate about innovation in the mining sector. Join our dynamic team to lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge electrical systems for large-scale mining operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive end-to-end Non-Processes Infrastructure (NPI) for electrical systems across mining projects
  • Develop and implement electrical designs ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, control systems, and project management teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying design and process enhancements
  • Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting during installation and deployment
  • Travel to project sites as required to support engineering execution and commissioning activities

About You:

  • Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in mining or heavy industry
  • Solid understanding of electrical design standards, equipment selection, and power distribution, along with proven experience delivering Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) projects. This includes the design and construction of accommodation villages, modular buildings, warehouses, workshops for heavy and light vehicles, bulk fuel and lubricant facilities, communications systems, instrumentation, and supporting services infrastructure
  • Experience with site-based implementation and commissioning is highly desirable
  • Strong technical and computer skills (such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools)
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
