About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping NATA's financial future, ensuring long-term viability, and supporting our mission to deliver value to our members and the broader community.

As CFO, you will lead a high-performing finance team, oversee financial planning and reporting, and drive strategic initiatives that support sustainable growth. You will also work closely with the NATA Board, Executive Team, and key stakeholders to provide expert financial guidance and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial and strategic plans aligned with NATA's long-term goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve high performance and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, investment strategy, and financial modelling.
  • Ensure robust financial controls, risk management, and compliance with all statutory obligations.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to the CEO and Board.
  • Collaborate with business units to support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies to achieve cost savings.
  • Engage with government, industry, and other stakeholders at an executive level.
  • Champion NATA's values and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

About You

  • CA or CPA qualified accountant with at least 10 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification in business management or strategic finance management.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Proven track record working with boards and senior executives.
  • Strong business case development and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience in supplier management, procurement, and corporate planning.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • High integrity, ethical standards, and a commitment to transparency and accountability.
