Technical Project Specialist (Audiovisual & Broadcast)

About the role

This role is responsible for supporting the planning, design, and implementation of audiovisual and broadcast infrastructure projects, and ensuring high-quality technical delivery across a range of live and digital events. The position also focuses on maintaining seamless broadcast operations, coordinating with internal teams and contractors, and driving continuous improvement through effective reporting and evaluation.

  • Help plan, design, and implement audiovisual and broadcast systems and infrastructure under the Broadcast Infrastructure Refresh Strategy (BIRS) and related projects.
  • Provide advanced technical support for live and remote events, including web streaming, Video on Demand, and rebroadcast services.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure compliant project delivery, accurate documentation, and ongoing service improvement.

About you

You are a highly skilled technical professional with proven experience in designing, delivering, and supporting complex audiovisual and broadcast systems. You excel at balancing hands-on technical work with effective communication, problem-solving, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Extensive experience in broadcast and audiovisual system design, procurement management, and technical documentation, including CAD and schematic development.
  • Strong technical knowledge of broadcast networks, audio and automation systems, camera control, and web streaming, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
