About the role
Menard has a vacancy for a Full time Mobile Plant Mechanical Fitter 40 hours a week with overtime on discretionary basis, Interstate and Sydney metro area travel expected.

This role reports to the Plant & Yard manager.
Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification of at least 3yrs in a similar heavy plant industry
- Previous experience with
- Ability to confidently read and interpret hydraulic schematics
- Experience with basic auto electrical works preferential
A collaborative and cooperative mindset with the ability to contribute to group discussion and problem solving
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner. Certifications in hydraulics and diesel mechanics will be advantageous.
- Previous experience conducting servicing / repair / breakdowns / fault diagnostics / maintenance on Heavy Mobile Equipment, including Crawler Cranes, Piling Rigs, Excavators, Anchor Drilling Rigs, Micro Drill Rigs, Concrete Pumps, Pressure Pumps, Mixing & Batching Equipment and a variety of other smaller items of plant.
- Experience with Liebherr, Casagrande & Hutte would be preferred.
- Experience and knowledge in fault finding and diagnosis
- Experience and knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical systems
- Unrestricted Class C Driving License (Minimum)
- White Card
- High Risk Work License (Forklift, EWP & Dogman advantageous)
- Ability to supervise and work as part of a team
- The role requires a well-organized, dead-line driven and assertive work manner.
- Personal tools/basic toolkit required for secure storage, machine specific, power and heavy duty tools and equipment provided
The duties of this role include but are not limited to:
- Comply with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
- Diagnosing/fault finding and repairing of the company's fleet of equipment
- Onsite Servicing & Repairs, extended or irregular hours of work may be required in remote or interstate locations.
- Minor welding and machining may be required
- Complete documents relating to servicing, repairs and breakdowns in line with company document control systems
- Operate and utilize equipment to perform servicing and maintenance activities, on the job training provided on specialist company equipment.
- Assist maintenance team with forecasting spare parts and consumable requirements to meet workload
- Assist yard team in loading and unloading equipment returning or departing for company projects
- Maintain work areas in a clean and tidy manner, during and on completion of an activity
