Senior Test Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join a major NetSuite ERP implementation for a rapidly growing renewable energy business. You'll play a hands-on role in making sure the system is tested thoroughly end-to-end, ensuring it's robust, scalable, and delivers the right outcomes for the business. This is an immediate start, rolling contract engagement based in Sydney CBD.

What you will be doing:

  • Define and lead the test approach
    – set up the test strategy for NetSuite ERP, covering finance, procurement, projects, and inventory modules.
  • Hands-on testing
    – plan and execute system, integration, regression, and UAT cycles, ensuring all workflows, data migration, and reporting are validated.
  • Work closely with stakeholders
    – collaborate with business analysts, developers, and end-users to design test scenarios that reflect real-world business processes.
  • Manage defects and risks
    – log, track, and prioritise issues, driving them through to resolution.
  • Ensure quality post-go live
    – support hypercare, performance monitoring, and continuous testing improvements as the business scales into new markets.

Skills we're looking for:

  • Strong background as a Test Engineer, with solid experience in ERP or large-scale enterprise system implementations (NetSuite is highly regarded).
  • Deep knowledge of test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.
  • Experience in validating complex business processes, ideally in finance, supply chain, or project-driven environments.
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks and tools would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to work with business stakeholders and technical teams alike.
  • Previous work in renewables, infrastructure, or other fast-growing, project-based industries is desirable.
