The Company

Track Protection Australia is a leading provider in the Rail Safeworking Industry, helping to deliver a wide range of Government projects and infrastructure maintenance works to all rail operations.

The Role

As the Accounts Administrator, you will be assisting the Company Accountants in completing the day-to-day finance, accounting and payroll needs of the business such as:

  • Processing workers compensation payments
  • Management of the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoicing, receipting, and reconciling payments
  • Monitoring of outstanding debts in a timely and professional manner
  • Resolution of account discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure billing accuracy and address client concerns
  • Assistance in process improvements to enhance efficiency of accounts receivable operations
  • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Interpretation and application of awards and enterprise agreement
  • Processing of weekly payroll payments for approximately 100+ staff
  • Posting and reconciliation of all payroll ledger accounts / Preparation of payroll report

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years' experience in an accounts payable/receivable function in a similar sized business
  • Expert knowledge of XERO and other relevant software such as Microsoft Excel & Employment Hero
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • A can-do attitude
  • Able to work from the office 5 days a week
  • Great communication skills / professional phone manner
  • Comprehensive email literacy
  • Excellent qualities in trouble shooting
  • Capable of improving existing processes (work smarter not harder)
