About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Senior Associate to join our friendly and innovative Building & Construction team and focus on strata law.

The Building & Construction team at Bartier Perry services a broad mix of clients from owners' corporations, builders, developers, consultants, individuals, local councils and government.

In this role, you will work alongside a team of building and construction and strata law experts, on a variety of matters, with a focus on strata law and home building defects and disputes, as well as general building construction disputes.

About you

Our ideal candidate possesses:

• At least 5 years of post-admission experience
• Strong knowledge of tribunal and court practice and procedure
• Knowledge of Home Building Act 1989, Strata Schemes Management Act 2015, Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 and Residential Apartment Buildings Act 2020 legislation
• Experience with defects disputes
• Working with building experts and report preparation on technical issues
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong research and troubleshooting methods
• Excellent time management and ability to work to meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
