The Role
We have an exciting permanent full-time Senior Advisor, Educator Capability (Educational Technology) available until to join our Educational Quality team at TAFE Queensland's South Bank Campus.

As a Senior Advisor, Educator Capability (Educational Technology), you will:

  • Lead initiatives that promote the use of educational technologies, mentor educators in virtual andragogy, and contribute to the design and delivery of digitally enabled learning programs.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in technology-enhanced learning, teaching and assessment practices.
  • Support educators in the effective integration of contemporary digital tools, virtual learning platforms, and emerging technologies across diverse learning environments (including online, blended, on-campus, and workplace settings).

This position reports to the Principal Advisor, Educator Capability.

Salary
The salary range for a Senior Advisor, Educator Capability (Educational Technology) is $4, $4, gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
  • Lead and support the integration of educational technologies and virtual learning strategies to enhance teaching and assessment practices.
  • Develop and deliver professional development programs focused on digital pedagogy, virtual classroom management, and the use of learning management systems (LMS).
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement innovative digital solutions that improve learner engagement and outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice on the selection and application of digital tools and platforms for vocational education and training.
  • Promote and model best practices in online and blended learning environments
  • Support the development of digital learning resources and contribute to the continuous improvement of virtual delivery models.
  • Actively participate in communities of practice focused on educational technology and virtual learning innovation.
  • Develop, implement and promote a wide range of educator development opportunities related to learning, teaching and assessment to build both educator capability and a strong culture of continuous professional growth.
  • Contribute to and foster the development of a scholarship of learning and teaching culture and related communities of practice.
  • Contribute to planning and review of the ongoing improvements to TAFE Queensland Brisbane's learning and teaching culture and demonstrate an understanding of national frameworks.
  • Maintain an understanding of the commercial aspects of TAFE including financial and business performance and any impact from external factors.
  • Actively engage with industry, business and the community to ensure capability and innovation initiatives are relevant.

How You Will Be Assessed

  • Proven ability to lead and deliver digital transformation initiatives in teaching and learning.
  • Experience in designing and evaluating technology-enhanced learning programs and resources.
  • Strong understanding of current trends in online education, instructional design, and digital assessment strategies.
  • High level communication, consultation and influencing skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of key stakeholders on significant issues to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of educational technologies and virtual learning platforms within the Vocational Education and Training sector.

Highly Desirable
Candidates Who Possess The Following Will Be Highly Regarded

  • Possession of Tertiary qualifications and extensive experience teaching in a tertiary environment;
  • TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development (or their equivalent,) or a higher VET qualification.
