About the role

BSN Home Maintenance and Construction is seeking a full-time Trade Assistant - Carpentry - Maintenance to join our team in Busselton, Western Australia. In this role, you will provide essential support to our skilled tradespeople, assisting with a variety of maintenance and construction tasks across residential properties for department of houseing in the southwest.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing skilled hands-on support to carpenters, handypersons and other tradespeople
  • Preparing and setting up work sites, including loading/unloading equipment and materials
  • Performing basic carpentry and maintenance duties such as External door, frames, trims, basic fixtures and also complete renovation works
  • Ensuring a safe and tidy work environment by following all health and safety protocols
  • Maintaining tools and equipment to a great standard
  • Assisting with the completion of job reports and other administrative tasks
  • Delivering friendly customer service to our clients

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a capenter trade assistant or in a similar maintenance capentry support role
  • Basic to advanced skills in carpentry, plastering, tiling or all round handyman skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to work
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • A current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
