An outstanding opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to take on a pivotal role in managing, monitoring, and shaping the future direction of a dynamic cloud environment.

This position is a key part of the team, responsible for ensuring the health, security, and optimisation of our cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft 365, while collaborating closely on strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor cloud environments, with a primary focus on Azure and Office 365, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Lead the direction of the cloud environment by working with the Cloud Architect to design solutions for future requirements.
  • Take responsibility for the vulnerability posture and remediation within the Azure environment.
  • Administer and enhance Azure and Microsoft 365 security tools, including Defender for Cloud and Conditional Access Policies.
  • Build and manage infrastructure-as-code using BICEP templates to deploy new environments and resources.
  • Lead the migration of applications and resources from legacy Azure environments to new subscriptions.
  • Optimise cloud expenditure by monitoring costs and providing recommendations to stakeholders.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in a senior-level role, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Proven experience with Azure network routing concepts (Vnets, UDRs, Express Route).
  • Demonstrated expertise in setting up Azure Policy to enforce consistency and automate tasks.
  • Experienced in using Bicep templates to deploy Azure infrastructure and working with DevOps pipelines.
  • A solid understanding of Azure security tooling, including Defender for Cloud and managing RBAC permissions.
  • Proficient in managing web servers (Linux-based) and setting up Application Gateways.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, and experience with monitoring, alerting, and reporting tools like Azure Monitor.
  • Knowledge of or exposure to AWS and Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.
