The Position
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Dairy Supply and Production Planner will play a critical role in balancing milk supply, processing capacity, and customer demand. You will work closely with milk suppliers, logistics, production, quality, and sales teams to ensure our supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
· Forecast and plan raw milk intake, aligning with seasonal supply patterns and market demand.
· Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
· Allocate milk volumes to maximise value, yield, and processing efficiency.
· Manage ingredient and packaging stock to support production plans.
· Adjust production plans in response to supply fluctuations, equipment downtime, or urgent orders.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and optimise performance.
· Maintain compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
· Provide reports on supply utilisation, production efficiency, waste, and schedule adherence.
About You
We are seeking an experienced planner who thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment. You will be analytical, organised, and proactive, with strong communication skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Food Technology, or related discipline (preferred but not essential).
- 3–5 years experience in supply or production planning, ideally in the dairy or FMCG industry.
- A strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and production planning.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, planning tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
- The ability to adapt quickly to seasonal and operational changes.
