Oxa Care is a leading residential aged care provider in Melbourne's north. With a strong focus on resident wellbeing, compliance, and service excellence, we are seeking a highly organised and proactive Concierge – Food, Nutrition & Dining Experience, to drive continuous improvement across our facility. This role will suit someone who is not only process-driven but also eager to get involved in day-to-day operations and make a practical difference on the dining room floor. Must have Residential Aged Care experience to be considered.
About This Role
Are you passionate about enhancing the daily lives of older adults through exceptional food and dining experiences? Oxa Care is seeking a dedicated Food, Dining & Nutrition Concierge to join our team and become the vital link between our residents, kitchen team, and care staff.
In this rewarding role, you'll be at the heart of creating person-centered dining experiences that respect individual preferences, cultural backgrounds, and nutritional needs while ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
What You'll Do
Champion Resident Voice
- Facilitate monthly food forums and dining meetings with residents
- Conduct quarterly satisfaction surveys and weekly one-on-one feedback sessions
- Ensure every resident's dietary preferences, cultural needs, and special requirements are heard and respected
- Monitor food-related feedback trends and escalate concerns appropriately
- Manage complaint resolution within 3 working days
- Collaborate with chefs, dietitians, and clinical teams on menu planning and improvements
- Document and regularly review resident allergies, intolerances, and dietary requirements
- Support therapeutic and texture-modified diet compliance
- Coordinate with clinical staff to maintain accurate nutritional care plans
- Enhance mealtime experiences through thoughtful environmental adjustments
- Support resident independence using reablement approaches
- Facilitate family involvement in dining experiences
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Strong communication skills – you'll be connecting with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams daily
- Experience in hospitality, aged care, or health settings – understanding of service excellence and person-centered care
- Knowledge of food safety and aged care standards – commitment to maintaining high-quality, safe dining experiences
- Problem-solving abilities – experience in feedback gathering and complaint resolution
- Collaborative mindset – passion for working as part of a caring team
- Qualifications in nutrition, hospitality, aged care, or related fields
- Experience working with chefs, dietitians, or clinical teams
- Familiarity with Aged Care Quality Standards (particularly Standard 6: Food and Nutrition)
