Service Stream's Utilities division is actively seeking a dynamic Senior People & Experience Business Partner to join our expanding team. Reporting Line: General Manager, People & Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and advice related to all people matters
- Contribute to the Business Unit strategic plan, taking ownership for the implementation of key people initiatives.
- Ensure business unit compliance to all legislative requirements, company policies and commitments via Human Resources policies, legislative requirements and relevant Awards or Enterprise Agreements.
- Contribute to tender submissions to ensure operational objectives are achieved through mobilisation plans, systems and compliance with relevant industrial instruments
- Utilise people data to help drive improvements and changes to business unit work practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of people processes and delivery across Service Stream
- Provision of Human Resources advice and support to the business unit Managers
- Facilitate coachingh to leaders on change and performance management
- Deliver facilitated training initiatives as part of program implementation
- Manage industrial matters including EBA negotiations and disputes and Fair Work claims to minimise cost and reputation exposure
- Provide guidance and support to the business unit in relation to management of ER and IR cases, including preventative actions and key learnings
- Provide advice and support to managers on remuneration and benefits
- Provide leadership support to the business unit(s)
- Be an active contributor within the BU management team and the HR team
- Facilitate organisational development, career development and succession planning across the business unit
- Contribute towards key delivery projects and processes as assigned across Service Stream
About you:
- A minimum of 10 years generalist HR and Employee Relations experience is essential for this position.
- Experience in ER/IR matters, EBA interpretation and negotiation.
- Experience in coachinga and partnering with senior managers.
- A thorough understanding of industry practice in terms of sourcing strategies, recruitment, promotion, skills development, conditions of employment and HR policies.
- Experience identifying needs and developing people leader capability.
- High level organisation and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines for each project that is assigned.
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation.
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Possess communication skills of the highest level in order to positively influence customers, clients, management and staff.
